⚠️🔥 One day left of the oppressively hot and humid conditions to close out the week. A few severe thunderstorms will be possible again this afternoon and evening, but not everyone will get a storm. It will turn much less humid for Saturday, but high temperatures will remain in the upper 80s to near 90°.

If you must spend any extended time outdoors today, make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks. Stay cool out there, and remain alert for changing conditions this afternoon and evening!

🚑 Beachwood & Pine Beach Residents — We Need You! 🚑

If you’re looking for a way to give back to your community, learn valuable skills, and be part of a team that helps others when they need it most, we’d love to hear from you. No prior experience is required—we provide the training.

We are also accepting applications for our Cadet Program (ages 16–17), which is a great opportunity for students interested in emergency medicine, healthcare, or public service to gain hands-on experience while serving their community.

Whether you’re considering a future career in EMS or simply want to make a difference close to home, Beachwood EMS offers a rewarding way to get involved.

Last week, the Beachwood Police Department brought back the Junior Police Academy! Volunteers from the 5th grade at Beachwood Elementary School stayed after school each day and experienced a little of what it is like to be a police officer and a first responder. They started each day with some PT and Drill and experienced demos by our K9 unit, Ocean County S.W.A.T., Ocean County Sheriff 911 Drone Unit, Beachwood Vol. Fire Department, and Beachwood Emergency Medical Services. By the end of the program, they were marching beautifully into the gym for their graduation ceremony. Today, Beachwood EMS proudly stood alongside our community at the Memorial Day Parade and services as we honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

We are grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute, remember our heroes, and support the traditions that keep their legacy alive. Thank you to everyone who came out to honor and remember.
