Tomorrow is Election Day and I want to dedicate my second to last post before the election (I have to remind everyone one last time to vote right?) to Megan Walsh Beachwood Board of Education.
I have gotten to know Megan over the last two years serving on the board together. She truly cares about our students and staff, education equity and ensure that every student is seen and heard within our district. She leads with integrity, honesty and empathy. I find myself often in awe of how she balances everything from work, family and board service. Megan is dedicated and she will continue to move our district forward.

6 months ago when I embarked on this candidacy journey, it felt so daunting. However, it has been such a fulfilling experience. I made new connections and talked with many community members while canvassing and attending the various block parties. It has been so humbling to receive so much positive feedback and support from friends and community members. I hope to be able to continue to represent our community and advocate for our students and staff.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 19, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Beachwood High School Community Room located at 25100 Fairmount Blvd. These high school students are proud to bring candidates Julie Brough, Dr. Josephine Chan, Jen Ferns, and Megan Walsh to Beachwood High School in a student-run exchange of ideas and discussion of platforms. Led by junior Radha Pareek, this event will allow for community members, students, and staff to learn more about each of the candidates for the Board of Education election taking place on November 7, 2023.
