** Update**
Mr. Coughlan is making good time today, and is expecting to arrive at Exit 1 around 3:15 PM. Due to lack of available room at the Interstate Corridor, meet and greet with him will be in the Beach Rest Area parking lot.
Good afternoon,
I spoke with Mr. Coughlan a short time ago, and he will be entering Golden Valley County tomorrow (04/04/2026). Mr. Coughlan will be coming through via the Interstate, travelling Westbound on the Eastbound shoulder. Mr. Coughlin wishes for everyone to be safe, and NOT pull up beside him on the Interstate trafficway. If you wish to cheer him on from one of the Exit Ramps (Exits 7, 10, 18), he asks that you make yourself visible to him at the bottom of ramp, close where the ramp begins to merge with the trafficway. Otherwise, Mr. Coughlin is planning to enter Beach from Exit 1 at approximately 4PM, and looks forward to seeing and meeting the residents of our great County.
Run for America—A Tribute to the American People (update): Noah Coughlan will be forced to use an “emergency snow day off” today as he hunkers down in Medora, North Dakota. That area is under a Winter Storm Warning where 6”-12” of snow are expected today. The wintry vibes will be short lived as temps are expected to climb into the 50’s this weekend with plenty of sunshine. The 42 year old California native is just 26 miles shy of the Montana border as he treks across America in honor of the 250th anniversary of the USA. He is right near the Theodore Roosevelt National Park area, a picturesque area of the Badlands in Medora—he ran/walked 36 miles yesterday to get there. Today marks Day 168 of this 260 day adventure that began in October. He will end this patriotic marathon on July 4th in Honolulu, Hawaii. This marks the fifth time Noah has crossed America on foot, all using a different map. When this odyssey concludes, he will become just the third person in history to cross all 50 states on foot.
