Bayside Middle School We are a 5th through 8th grade middle school, part of the Fox Point-Bayside School District. We are part of the Fox Point J2 School District.

We are a 5th-8th grade middle school serving the Wisconsin communities of Fox Point and Bayside. Our district social media accounts serve as a limited public forum and users are responsible for the content of their posts. Communication and questions about district operations, programming, and events should be directed to the district personnel via email or phone using the Fox Point- Bayside School District website staff directory. We welcome respectful engagement and feedback on the Bayside Middle School social media platforms. Bayside's Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held virtually this year. Conferences are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, October 15 - 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Friday, October 16 - 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Thursday, October 22 - 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM

If you haven't already signed up for a virtual conference, please click on the link below and select a time that's convenient for you. You may choose a conference time with one or several of your child's teachers. Be advised that two days before each conference date, that date option will be locked. The other date options will remain open until two days before those conference dates. If you have an extenuating circumstance or if you need support signing up, please call the Bayside Middle School office at (414) 247-4202, and they will assist you.

As part of our commitment to Pillar III within the Framework of Our Future, the Fox Point–Bayside School District continues its partnership with CESA-1 Parents United, which provides educational resources and opportunities for families and professionals across southeastern Wisconsin.

Join the upcoming session, “Give Him the Whale: Harnessing Student Interests for Learning,” led by Dr. Paula Kluth. This session will explore how students’ unique interests and areas of expertise can become valuable tools for learning, connection and classroom success. Participants will learn strategies for honoring these interests to help calm, comfort, teach and engage students with and without identified needs.

We had a cultural experience in Spanish class with Mrs. Miller's 7th graders recently, tasting foods in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. The students researched food items from Spanish-speaking countries and then brought some in to try. In fifth grade, the kids made papel picado, 6th they had storytime and learned Salsa dancing, and 8th they did bios of famous Hispanic people.

📚 As students grow, so do the ways they use literacy.

In middle school, literacy is about more than reading words on a page; it's about thinking critically, communicating clearly, and making meaningful connections. Across all subject areas, students analyze a variety of texts, support their ideas with evidence, collaborate with classmates, and strengthen their writing through creative, informative, and research-based assignments.

This month, we celebrate the many ways reading and writing help our students discover new ideas, express themselves, and prepare for future success.

For the past 11 years, voter-approved referendum funding has helped Fox Point-Bayside maintain a high-quality, award-winning educational experience for our students.

That includes exceptional teachers and staff, small class sizes, personalized learning, enriching academic programs, student supports and extracurricular opportunities.

Continued referendum funding would help the District maintain these opportunities for current and future FPBS students.
