Windy and mild conditions on Friday paired with the ongoing drought will result in elevated fire danger. Avoid open burning and use caution with any outdoor equipment that generates a lot of heat.

The combination of unseasonably warm temperatures, dry conditions, and gusty winds will lead to an increased risk for grass and brush fire spread today. Avoid outdoor burning and use caution when discarding smoking materials!

Due to current conditions being very dry and dangerous for open burning. The forecast for continued high winds and warmer than normal conditions will only make burning more hazardous. Please make every attempt to refrain from any type of open burning.
