Residential Structure Fire – Bayview Township, WI
Date of Incident: October 15, 2025

At approximately 12:30 p.m. on October 15, 2025, the Washburn Fire Department was dispatched to 78390 Washington Avenue in Bayview Township for a report of thick smoke coming from a garage.

Upon arrival, Washburn firefighters initiated a rapid attack and were able to quickly knock down the fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. The garage sustained fire damage but is expected to be repairable. A nearby residence was unaffected.

Washburn Fire Department was assisted by the Ashland Fire Department, Bayfield Volunteer Fire Department, Washburn EMS, Washburn Police Department, Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, and the Ashland/Bayfield County Emergency Communications Center.

The Washburn Fire Department extends its appreciation to all mutual aid partners and supporting agencies for their prompt response and teamwork during this incident.
