FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR MUCH OF IOWA
The National Weather Service in Des Moines has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through
Wednesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Much of Iowa
* WIND...30 to 45 mph
* HUMIDITY...15 to 25%
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.
Gusty to high winds and low relative humidity will bring critical to extremely critical fire weather conditions to the central and southern Plains today into Wednesday.
