Our little Wynnie is ready for her forever home with a special person or family!! This sweet girl is all about the love and snuggles since she was rescued from an icy parking lot where she was frantically running around after a snowstorm. She is about a year old and is spayed and vaccinated. She is also FIV/Felv negative. This playful little girl would love nothing more than her very own home for the holidays! If you are interested in meeting her and providing that forever home, please go to our website to complete and submit an application. If not, please share her post to help her find that home! Thanks!

Although not our area we just want to help. Disco has been missing since an accident October 3 and her family has not given up on her. There have been 3 recent sightings of her in the Strongsville area (Hiwe Rd area). Please, please keep watching for her so she can get home safe.
Thank you!

good news story.

I’m not crying, you’re crying… 🥹
Teddy & Leon spent 918 days back in rescue after getting returned. The videos I shared of them loving on each other would get shared thousands upon thousands of times, but nobody ever applied to adopt them. Back in July, they finally got a good application! They have been in their new home a few months now and I got this photo today and immediately cried tears of joy. Look how relaxed and happy they are, living their best lives!! They both love looking out the window watching the wildlife. I am grateful beyond words the right forever home finally came along for these boys. They are the absolute sweetest and deserve to be snuggled up on their mom and dad‘s lap for love every night for the rest of their lives. 🥰

read and share. the problem of a house cat not using a box is too common and too often results in unnecessary tragedy for the cat.

We get our fair share of calls about surrendering cats because they're peeing outside the litter box.

Our first two questions are:
1. Have you been to the vet for a THOROUGH exam;
2. Are they declawed.

Let's focus on the first one for a minute.

This is Wilhelmina. The brown stains on her fur are because she has been leaking urine, for months. She also has painful, open sores on her skin from urine scald. She cries out in pain when she pees.

Her owners brought her to a vet to euthanize her for peeing outside the box. :(

FORTUNATELY, Wilhelmina came our way. And *here's* the part you need to know.

If your pet is suddenly peeing outside the box, A URINALYSIS IS NOT ENOUGH TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS A MEDICAL CAUSE.

If your vet *only* does a urinalysis, ask them to follow up with an x-ray or ultrasound; and repeat that imaging again when symptoms pop up. A urinalysis may, but *does not always* show that your cat has painful bladder stones that can cause litterbox issues (among other symptoms, all of which are indications that your cat is IN PAIN).

And a round of antibiotics or even a prescription diet *doesn't always* get rid of the problem - the stones may require further testing (to determine the cause of the stones by their composite), or may need to be removed through surgery.

This is the third cat THIS YEAR we have gotten from a vet's office, minutes away from euthanasia, whose bladder stones went undetected by a urinalysis alone. This is not at all uncommon, people!

We're waiting on lab results to tell us why Wilhelmina's stones are so persistent to give us a better treatment course for her. In the meantime, she developed an Upper Respiratory Infection from the stress of shelter life :(

But at least now, she has a shot at a pain-free life
