You all work too hard for your money — so please remember — we aren’t calling you this holiday season to settle up on some mysterious warrant, we aren’t asking you to pay your fines or bond at a gas station kiosk AND we aren’t accepting payment in the form of gift cards or pre-paid credit cards.

Please join us in prayer for the entire Jackson County community who suffered the loss of a hero this morning.

Our deputies were assisting the Mississippi Highway Patrol with a pursuit that entered Hancock County. The driver of the fleeing vehicle has been apprehended and deputies are clearing the scene.

The 911 system is starting to return to full function!

🚫 Absolutely DO NOT call 911 to “test the system” or check if our phones are functioning. We are being inundated with calls from people who are “just checking” and our telecommunicators are extremely busy trying to handle legitimate calls.

Drunk driving is really NOT OK. No joke about it. Time in lockup is a total buzz kill. So if you want to avoid the handcuffs, fines, loss of license and increased insurance costs — just don’t.
