⚠️ FLOODED ROADWAYS - PLEASE USE CAUTION ⚠️
Due to heavy rainfall and localized flooding, several streets and low-lying areas within the City of Bay Minette are experiencing hazardous conditions. City crews are actively monitoring conditions and placing traffic control devices where necessary.
Please avoid the following areas:
• Lower St between Rain Drive and Hwy 138
• 9th St between Hand Ave and McMillan Ave
• McMillan Ave between 14th St & W Almyra St
• Quinley Street
• E 5th Street between Hand Ave and Mixon Ave
Now Clear as of 11:36 PM:
• D'Olive St at N Pine St
• Hwy 138 near Shedrick Hardy Pkwy
• Old Daphne Rd between Hwy 31 and E Hurricane Rd
• Dennis Ave at the Cemetery (tree has been moved)
• Dickman Rd at the railroad tracks (Tree down w/ power lines has been moved)
If you do not have an essential need to travel, we encourage you to stay off the roadways until conditions improve. In addition to creating dangerous driving conditions, vehicles traveling through standing water can push floodwaters into nearby homes, yards, and businesses, causing additional property damage.
Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes and avoid driving through standing or moving water. Water depth and roadway conditions can change rapidly, and flooded roadways may conceal washouts, debris, or other hazards.
City staff will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe.
