🚂✨ PARK SPOTLIGHT: THE 1905 MOPAC TRAIN DEPOT ✨🚂
All aboard for a little trip through Bay City’s railroad history! 🚂
Built in 1905, the MOPAC Train Depot has been hanging around Bay City for more than a century—and if those walls could talk, they’d have some stories to tell! 👀
Back in the day, the depot was part of the St. Louis, Brownsville and Mexico Railway, affectionately known around here as “The Brownie.” 🚂 The railroad helped connect Bay City with communities along the Gulf Coast and kept folks, freight, and probably more than a few interesting characters moving along the tracks for nearly 80 years.
Fast-forward to today, and this historic depot has traded train schedules for party schedules! 🎉
The beautifully restored MOPAC Train Depot is available to rent for meetings, celebrations, small gatherings, and more.

🚂 AND DON’T FORGET THE CABOOSE!
Just outside the depot sits the MOPAC Screaming Eagle Caboose—because apparently one piece of railroad history wasn't enough! 😉
Donated to Bay City in 1988, this authentic “Short Bay Window Caboose” is a fun reminder of the days when railroads were a big part of moving America—and it's definitely worth stopping for a photo. 📸
Come take a stroll, snap a caboose selfie, rent the depot, or just enjoy a little piece of Bay City history.
The MOPAC may not be catching trains anymore… but it’s still making stops on the Bay City fun train! 🚂🎉
