Looking for a meaningful and memorable place to host your next gathering in Bay City? The historic USO Service Center is available for community events, private celebrations, meetings, receptions, fundraisers, and more.
Built in 1942, the USO once welcomed servicemen stationed far from home and quickly became a beloved gathering place for dances, celebrations, and community events. Today, this Recorded Texas Historic Landmark continues that legacy as one of Bay City’s most unique rental venues.
With space for up to 400 guests, the facility offers a large auditorium, meeting rooms, a kitchen, and a welcoming foyer. Recent updates including air conditioning, flooring, paint, roofing, and other amenities make it a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern comfort.

📢 Calling All Tourism Projects, Programs, and Event Organizers!

Do you have a project, program, or event that brings visitors to Bay City? Visit Bay City is now accepting HOT Tax Sponsorship Applications for tourism related efforts that promote Bay City and help generate overnight hotel stays in our community!

Eligible Uses Include:
🏨 Convention and Visitor Information Centers
📝 Convention Delegate Registration
📣 Tourism Marketing and Promotions
🎭 Arts and Cultural Projects
🏛️ Historic Preservation Activities
🏅 Sporting Events that drive hotel bookings

Examples may include conventions, public art and murals, downtown shopping guides, museum projects, historical preservation efforts, cultural programs, and events that support tourism.

June 30th, 2026

Requirements:
✅ Project or event must have potential to generate overnight hotel stays
✅ Submit receipts within 90 days after completion
✅ Include the Visit Bay City logo on all advertising
✅ Use local vendors when possible
