Congratulations to Officer Geoffrey Sparkes on his recent investigation regarding Child Sexually Abusive Material (CSAM)! Officer Sparkes serves as a member of the Northeast Michigan Trafficking and Child Exploitation Task Force in partnership with the FBI. Officer Sparkes did such an excellent job in a recent investigation where a young child was being sexually exploited that he received a certificate commending his actions from the Director of the FBI.

This is just one of many examples of a successful outcome due to our partnership with the FBI through the use of a task force. Officer Sparkes was quick to point out that he did not conduct the investigation on his own and the other members at the FBI were crucial to the investigation's success. Congratulations Officer Sparkes on this well earned recognition.

Share the Road. Stay Alert. 🎯

Warmer weather means more people are out walking and biking around Bay City. Whether you’re behind the wheel or on foot, staying alert helps keep everyone safe.

🚨 A moment of distraction can lead to a serious accident.

Do your part to stay safe:
🚢 Pedestrians
βœ… Use crosswalks whenever possible
βœ… Make eye contact with drivers
βœ… Stay visible, especially at night

🚴 Bicyclists
βœ… Ride with traffic, not against it
βœ… Obey all traffic signs and signals
βœ… Wear a helmet

πŸš— Drivers
βœ… Slowdown in neighborhoods
βœ… Watch for cyclists and pedestrians
βœ… Yield at crosswalks

We all share the road, let’s look out for each other.
