-Offerings from our amazing community partners
-Summer Reading Program sign-up

Outside:
-Inflatable obstacle course — it might be wet, so wear play clothes!
-Big Meaty Philly’s Food Truck on-site for lunch!

Come for lunch, stay for the fun! We're excited to see everyone at our kickoff party today! 🤩🥳

Meet us on the lawn - our Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party at the Alice & Jack Wirt branch is today from 1:30-3:00 pm!! We will have games, activities, snacks, an inflatable obstacle course, and more! 5-2-oh food truck will also be here from 11:30 am-2 pm, so come early for lunch!

If your family still has room in the schedule for fun after the kickoff party, Leadership Bay County Class of 2023 is hosting a fundraiser benefiting Foster Families Navigation & Resource Center at Crazy Quarters Arcade from 2-7 pm. It will be $10.00 per wristband or you can purchase an item off the Amazon Wishlist.

NEXT EVENING SESSIONS: Get ready for a beautiful season of Michigan golf on May 17! Join local golf pro Keith Geiling in the Kantzler Community Room at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library as he demonstrates swing techniques using a FlightScope X3 launch monitor. He will discuss what goes into the perfect swing, best practices to apply your club to the ball in the most efficient way, and answer questions for those wanting to improve their game. Tomorrow is the day! We will be hosting our very first Living Library event tomorrow at 5:30 pm at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library. We are so excited to have these amazing storytellers, plus more! This event is meant to spark curiosity, inspire conversations with people of diverse backgrounds, and open your eyes to new experiences! Join us for an evening of conversation, coffee, and cookies with an open mind and dare to un-judge someone. Our storytellers have dedicated their time to answer any and all questions you have, so come on down and get inspired!

HATE WINTER? Join us for this FREE three-part workshop facilitated by the Midland Area Wellbeing Coalition and learn how to get more out of life no matter the season! Did you know that Michiganders have some of the lowest Vitamin D levels in the country during the winter months? This is one of the many reasons mental health is so important during this time. If you feel affected by the cold weather, experience seasonal mental symptoms, or simply want to learn how you can redirect your mindset and live a happier life, this workshop is for you! All sessions will be held in person at the Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library. They will also be livestreamed on the BCLS page.

Get ready to sing, clap, dance and read along during this visit by award-winning musician and author Jim Gill! Jim promises, in concert, to share a non-stop selection of sing-alongs, dance-alongs, finger plays and tongue twisters. The concert will also feature a read-along and sing-along of one of Jim’s musical books, May There Always Be Sunshine. The event will take place at the Wirt library on Thursday, December 15th at 6:00 pm.
