Students entering 6th grade in September 2026 have the opportunity to participate in Band, Orchestra, or Choir at Forestview! ๐ŸŽถ On Friday, March 6, fifth-grade students enjoyed performances by the 8th-grade Band, 7th-grade Orchestra, and 7th-grade Choir. Throughout the week, they also visited each music room and met the teachers to learn more about the different ensembles.

Families should have received a letter on ParentSquare explaining the music options along with links to sign up. If your student is interested in participating in performance music next year in 6th grade, please be sure to complete the registration form.
If you have questions about Band, Orchestra, or Choir, please feel free to reach out to our music teachers.

Today our 5th graders stepped back in time to experience what life might have been like in colonial America, specifically in Williamsburg, Virginia! One of the most common crafts in Williamsburg was shoemaking, and our students took on the role of colonial shoemakers for the day.

Our students designed and assembled their own โ€œcolonial-styleโ€ shoes while learning about craftsmanship, trade, and daily life in early America. It was a fun hands-on way to connect history with creativity!
