The 2015 Fantasy Forest Art Competition was an amazing display of artistic talent and creativity, which resulted in transforming a grove of 100-year-old Ash trees (which had been killed by the Emerald Ash Borer) into stunning works of art. The Fantasy Forest at Leila Arboretum, in Battle Creek, MI, is now filled with wizards, castles, dragons, and other mythical creatures. Thousands of visitors fr

om all across the United States have been able to enjoy this FREE Sculpture Garden. Battle Creek's Fantasy Forest grew in 2016 with the addition of 14 new sculptures. Commissioned artists from around the country used chainsaws, paint brushes, and more, and continued the transformation of Leila Arboretum's Fantasy Forest.

Spring is approaching and the Fantasy Forest creatures are coming alive.

I met three different groups walking through fantasy Forest yesterday from across the state while my grandson and I ran from sculpture to sculpture. One group from Middleville, another from Jackson, and another from Traverse City. Two of the groups specifically came to Battle Creek for fantasy forest.

A true gem for our community.

I know it’s cold out, so we are taking online bids. If there is a Carving here that you would like to bid on with your highest bid under the picture. I will not announce to the crowd what your bid is, but will carry it.
Post your bid now under the picture, 10/7 5:10 pm is the deadline. Any pets posted after that may not be recognized. Here are the Carving’s for the auction. Seller has right to refuse.(but we want them sold.

The Fantasy Forest Chainsaw Carving Festival is back by popular demand October 5-7th. Friday, October 6th will be a Field Trip Friday! We are inviting classrooms to interact with artists and learn more about this one-of-a-kind installation. $50/classroom includes a brief introduction to the site and its history; as well as a set of earplugs, artist info, and a craft for each student.
