Brendan May is the republican candidate for president of the United States of America. Born in 1966 in Battle Creek, Michigan as the middle child to Joseph and Deborah May. His parents were hard working catholic Americans that wanted the best for their children and put his sister, brother and himself above themselves. Because of their dedication to his family, the older sister Jessica is a teacher
in California and younger brother Timothy is a Lawyer in Michigan. May owned a local diner when he was younger but eventually sold it so Joseph could fund his campaign as the City Attorney of Battle Creek, which he won. It was at that moment that Brendan knew he wanted to be a politician so he could help those that needed it seen through the selfless act of his father. In order to do so, Brendan graduated Battle Creek Central High School as Valedictorian in 1984 and attended University of Michigan. From the University of Michigan at Ann Harbor, he graduated in the top 5th percentile with a major in Economics and a minor in Political Science in 1988. After college he spent two years at Columbia getting his masters degree in political science. During those two years May interned at a large investment firm in NYC. Then once the Gulf War broke out, he joined the marines right after Columbia for 4 years. Then served on the governor's council of Michigan as his economic adviser for 6 years. Once his term ended May ran for governor and won, served from 2001-2007. Then spent 2007 and 2008 working on the McCain campaign and created the fiscal platform for the RNC. Brendan May married his wife Andrea in 1992 after they met at U-Michigan soccer game where she played soccer at Ohio State. Andy is from California where she had a rough childhood because of her abusive father but she persevered and received a doctorate in medicine from Columbia University just four year ago. Brendan has three children. A twelve year old son named Max who is dyslectic. The Mays also have two nine year old daughter Kate and Lydia who were named after their grandparent. They are fraternal twin and Kate is older by 17 minutes. The May family has a loving three year old black lab named Chief that was a Christmas present.
