Thank you to everyone who joined us at the BCPS scholarship dinner last night. Special thanks to Donna Herrick who served as our keynote speaker, Dave Amick as MC, the FCCLA team who did a wonderful job serving and helping with cleanup, Tristan Ray and Braxton Merlenbach who provided entertainment, and the lunch ladies who prepared our delicious meal. The BCPS board could not pull such an event off without the assistance of Jeff Heimes, Jake Luhr, and Abbie Freudenburg who serve as BC staff members (and board members) and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This event and these scholarships would not be possible without the generous support of our donors who year after year invest in the future of our students. Thank you and best wishes to the BCPS class of 2026!

Thanks to everyone that came out to celebrate and support our seniors this evening. We wish all of the scholarship recipients the very best of luck as they move into this next chapter of life. A special thanks to our donors who make make these scholarships possible. We couldn't do it without you. Thank you to Jeff Heimes, Scott Gray who served as our MC, Kalee Stusse who serves as our president, Jake Luhr, the lunch ladies who prepared our delicious meal, the team at BC High who helped with preparations, communication, and set up, the FCCLA group that served and helped with cleanup, the Tillman sisters who entertained us, all of the parents, the students, our fellow board members, and Jay Bellar and his family who traveled back to BC to deliver the keynote.

Finally, we want to thank and recognize the members of the community that had the vision to form the Battle Creek Public School Foundation in 2000. Our initial year began with $1,000 in scholarships for our students. This year we awarded $20,000. Thank you for your foresight.

Best wishes seniors. Go do great things.
