Honoring 35 Years of Service 💙

After 35 years of dedicated service to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of our community, we congratulate Major Ricky Klug on his retirement.

For more than three decades, Major Klug has devoted his career to serving and protecting East Baton Rouge Parish. Throughout the years, he has served with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to the people of our parish and to the men and women who have had the privilege of serving alongside him.

A career spanning 35 years is more than a milestone it represents countless days and nights of service, sacrifices made by both Major Klug and his family, lives impacted, friendships built, and a legacy that will remain a part of EBRSO long after his final day in uniform.

Major Klug, thank you for giving 35 years of your life to this agency and this community. Your leadership, dedication, and years of faithful service are deeply appreciated, and you have certainly earned this next chapter.

On behalf of Sheriff Sid Gautreaux and the entire East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office family, we wish you a retirement filled with happiness, good health, relaxation, and plenty of time with the people you love.

Captain Logan and Major Thomas recognized Sgt. Donald Richardson for his excellent work and outstanding performance in the School Drug Task Force Division.

Sgt. Richardson has proudly served with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office for 19 years, including the past four years in this division, where he has continued to serve and assist our community.
