Parenting Wisely,
I encourage you to pray for your children, pray with your children, and pray over your children daily.
Pray for their protection.
Pray for their health and strength.
Pray for their minds and their hearts.
Pray for wisdom in the choices they make.
Pray for the friends and influences surrounding them.
Pray that God will guide their steps and give them courage when they face challenges.
But don’t only pray for them—pray with them. Let your children hear you call their names before God. Let them know that prayer is a place they can turn in times of joy, fear, uncertainty, and need.
And pray over them. Speak words of love, hope, purpose, protection, and encouragement into their lives.
Our children may not always remember everything we say, but may they always remember that they had someone who loved them enough to pray for them, pray with them, and pray over them.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16 (KJV) AMEN.
