East Baton Rouge Council on Aging (EBRCOA) Supporting Independence ~ Serving Seniors The East Baton Rouge Council on the Aging's mission is simple: Supporting Independence -- Serving Seniors."

Currently, there are MORE than 2500 seniors presently on the waiting list for Meals on Wheels -- with this number increasing EVERYDAY! Donations of ALL kinds are being accepted and can be made online at www.ebrcoa.org. Additionally: in a continuing, year-round effort aiding this GROWING population, the EBRCOA currently offers its "Feed-A-Senior" program -- enabling donors to feed a senior for a day, month or even a WHOLE year.

On June 27th, EBR Parish voters will decide on the renewal of the EBRCOA millage that helps fund critical services for local seniors.

This is not a new tax or a tax increase. The proposal renews the existing millage that supports:
• Meals on Wheels and nutrition programs
• Transportation to medical appointments and grocery stores
• Senior wellness and activity centers
• Housing assistance and home repairs
• Programs that help older adults remain independent and connected

Every day, thousands of seniors across our parish rely on these services for safety, dignity, and quality of life.
