These aren't fluff words in a high school essay to make it sound deep and important. They are the opening lines to a document created by a bunch of tired and weary f**ks that were sick of being ruled over by tyrannical f**ks.
The history of this country is inarguably mired in atrocities, that fact is not in question. And these opening lines have absolutely been violated in the past, but that's not what I'm talking about today.
Everyone needs to realize that no matter how many amendments the constitution has, no matter what other rights or laws have been added or changed or taken away, those words have never changed.
And if we put our reading glasses on, we can see that it says "All". Not "all Americans" or "just Americans" or "just Christians" or "just white people".
All. Full goddamn stop.
This country is at crossroads and I fear we've already started down the wrong fork.
Going door-to-door demanding citizenship papers was a tactic used by the Gestapo in Germany. The comparison to that dark time in human history isn't hyperbole. It is a direct 1:1 repeat.
ICE, per the current administration, will be going door to door demanding to see papers. And if you're on the side of this being acceptable, you're on the wrong side of history.
Once all of the "Others" from a particular group are rounded up and "dealt with", the next move isn't to pack it up and call it job well done, a new "other" will be chosen. And the same villainizing campaign will be started again to make sure you fall in line with giving them the support to make it happen.
This is the same playbook used by the n***s against Jews in the 30's. Public support for mass extermination didn't just p**f into existence overnight. It started with the simple accusation of "they're here illegally to destroy your German way of life"
And we all know how that ended.
Now we have American citizens being gunned down by masked secret police for the executable crime of standing up to tyrannical and fascist tactics.
Supporters of this need to take a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if they're okay with the holocaust, because it's not a stretch of the imagination to come to the conclusion that that's a true possibility of happening again.
Would you report a jew to the n***s in 1930's Germany? The answer to that question is yes if you would consider reporting any perceived "illegals" in in 2020's America.
But hey what do I know? I'm just a limp-dicked, atheist, bi-sexual, democrat that hasn't been bukakked by enough Patriotic cm to keep myself blind to the fact that my country just MIGHT be engaging in the same tactics and propaganda the literal N**i party engaged in nigh on 100 years ago.
