Thank you, Dr. Jessica Yann from MSU for teaching us about what an archeologist does this afternoon. It was truly fascinating. Thank you also for staying well past the scheduled hour to answer so many questions from some of our avid young learners.

Happy Birthday to Michigan's own Chris Van Allsburg who was born on June 18, 1949. Allsburg is from Grand Rapids and has written and illustrated numerous picture books. Jumanji and The Polar Express were both awarded Caldecott Medals and were made into feature films. Zathura has also been made into a full length movie. Stop by the Bath Township Public Library to check out one of his beautiful books.

Be sure to come to Read & Play at Wiswasser Park tomorrow. We will be reading and singing about birds and coloring our own mini binoculars so we can go bird watching. Clinton Great Start will also be at the park with free books for kids.
