Bath National Cemetery Honor Through Wreaths

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Our wreath pick-up day is 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗝𝗔𝗡𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝟮𝟰, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠! ❄️⚡️ We’re sticking with our plan, despite this weekend's chilly forecast! To keep our amazing volunteers warm, we’ll have a cozy warming station set up, thanks to the wonderful Bath VAFD! 🔥❤️

Because of you — our volunteers, families, veterans, first responders, community partners, and neighbors — Wreaths Across America Day at Bath National Cemetery was truly unforgettable.

Thousands of wreaths were placed with care and respect, honoring the service and sacrifice of the heroes laid to rest here. From the ceremony to the final wreath placed, your presence made all the difference. Thank you for showing up, lending a hand, and helping us Remember, Honor, and Teach. ❤️

🌲 WREATH CLEANUP DAY

📅 Saturday, January 24
⏰ 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Bath National Cemetery

Who can help?
✔ Individuals
✔ Families
✔ Community groups
✔ Service organizations

What to bring:
🪵 A rake (use the handle to stack wreaths)
🧤 Gloves are recommended
❄️ Dress for the weather!

Volunteers will help pick up wreaths and place them in dumpsters. Just show up by 10:00 AM — no registration needed. We’ll be there rain, snow, or shine.

This is a great way to wrap up a meaningful community effort and continue honoring our veterans with care and respect.

TOMORROW IS THE DAY — National Wreaths Across America Day at Bath National Cemetery! 🇺🇸🎄

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, December 13, as our community comes together for one of the most meaningful events of the year — honoring and remembering the veterans laid to rest at Bath National Cemetery.

Ceremony Details:
Noon sharp
Immediately followed by wreath placement throughout the cemetery.

Arrive during the 11:00 hour to give yourself plenty of time to park, shuttle, and walk to the ceremony site.

Parking & Shuttles:
🚗 Parking is available anywhere on the Bath VA Medical Center grounds.
🚌 Shuttle buses will provide transportation from parking areas to the ceremony site on the hill.

Wreath Placement Guidelines:
After the ceremony, volunteers will begin laying wreaths starting in the oldest sections first — honoring those who may no longer have family here to remember them.

Please remember:
Bath National Cemetery does not support grave-specific placement.
We ask all participants to stay within the designated sections and follow volunteer guidance to ensure a respectful, orderly, and unified tribute.

Bundle up. Temperatures are expected to be in the teens.
Warm boots, hats, gloves, and layers are essential.

☕Warm Up With Cocoa:
Hot cocoa will be available near the VA Museum to help keep everyone warm.

Open to the Entire Community:
This event welcomes:
• Families
• Scout groups
• Community organizations
• Veterans and service families
• Individuals of all ages

Everyone is encouraged to attend, participate, and honor our heroes.

Thank you to WENY TV News for covering the delivery of wreaths to Bath National Cemetery yesterday!

Make plans to join us this Saturday, December 13, for the wreath-laying ceremony. The ceremony will begin promptly at 12:00 PM (noon), with wreaths being placed immediately afterward.

We recommend arriving during the 11:00 hour. You can park anywhere on the Bath VA Medical Center grounds. Shuttle buses will be available to help transport spectators and participants to the cemetery grounds.

🌟 Tomorrow’s the Day — The Wreaths Across America Truck Arrives in Bath! 🌟

The countdown is almost over. Tomorrow morning, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗗𝗲𝗰 𝟴, 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝟵:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠, the Wreaths Across America truck will roll into Bath carrying thousands of fresh remembrance wreaths for our veterans at Bath National Cemetery.

These incredible trucks travel across the country to honor our fallen heroes, and it is truly something special to witness.

🚛 Route Reminder
The truck will exit I-86 at Exit 39, travel through the Village of Bath down Liberty Street, and continue to the front gates of the Bath VA Medical Center — es**rted by our amazing first responders.

We hope you’ll take a moment to step outside, wave as it passes, or follow it onto the VA grounds. Once it arrives, volunteers are welcome to help with unloading. It’s a powerful and uplifting way to start Wreath Week. 🙌💚❤️
