The Civitans & The Rotary Club are going in together on a raffle fundraiser for The Way Ministry. If you are not familiar with The Way, it’s a ministry to help men who have had a stumble in life with addiction. It is located on 6 East on grounds & a home named JR’s Home. Gil & Nancy Bridges lost their son JR Major to addiction a few years back & they graciously donated the use of JR’s Home to Kells Lucius for The Way Ministry in memory of JR to help others. They lead these men to The Lord during their stay & they go out in the community and help others while they are here. These men are not only recovering from addiction, they are recovering their lives back. Some still have their homes with their wives & children patiently & lovingly waiting for Daddy to come home a new man. The graduates are planning a trip to Montana in July to help with a childrens mission. Myself being a very grateful recovering alcoholic for over 2 years now, truly understands the battle they have faced. I know my faith in Jesus Christ and my wonderful family during those hard months was my only saving grace. So, in a day or so when you see me post these 2 great civic clubs fundraiser for The Way Ministry, you will know. Thank you in advance because I know the hearts of the folks around here who graciously help others & this most likely won’t take long. God bless all of yall !

Hello, runners! After hearing the feedback from our spring race last year, Batesville Rotary will be bringing back the Gateway to the Delta 10 Miler and 5k race this fall on October 24. We are looking forward to seeing everyone as we run through the heart of our lovely town!

All proceeds from this race go toward the Batesville Rotary Club to help fund their many programs, including scholarships for high school seniors and providing Christmas gifts and winter clothing for children in the school district. The club also makes monthly and annual donations to other programs in our area, including Grace Place, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and Magnolia Alliance Shelter.

If you are interested in becoming a race sponsor, please reach out to a member of the Batesville Rotary for more information and a registration sheet.

The Batesville Rotary Club encourages everyone to come out and support the Crawfish Boil benefiting Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.

This isn’t just a great time with good food and fellowship, it’s a chance to make a real difference. Funds raised will help provide life-saving heart surgeries for children and give families hope when they need it most.

Come hungry, bring a friend, and be part of something bigger than yourself.

The Batesville Rotary Club was proud to welcome Cheerleading Coach Sara Helen Ware as our guest speaker!

Coach Ware has built an exceptional program, leading her team to three state championships in the Junior Varsity Gameday division. On the national stage, her team earned an impressive 2nd place finish at the 2025 UCA Nationals, and followed it up by claiming the 2026 UCA National Championship in the Junior Varsity Non-Tumble Gameday division.

Her leadership, discipline, and commitment to excellence are evident in every level of her program. We are grateful she took the time to share her journey and inspire our members.

Congratulations to Coach Ware and her incredible team on their continued success!

We were honored to recognize two outstanding Students of the Month who truly represent the best of our local schools.

From South Panola, Veronica Hernandez joined us alongside her Rifle Coach and teacher, Jordan Bailey. Veronica is a Junior ROTC Cadet Major with an impressive academic record, and she has earned national recognition through championship-level shooting competitions. Her discipline and focus are evident in everything she does.

From North Delta, Celes DeLeo attended with her teacher, Margaret O’Quin. Celeste is equally accomplished in the classroom, known for her discipline and strong academics. She is also a standout cheerleader and a top all-star competitor with numerous accolades to her name.

Both of these young ladies are shining examples of hard work, leadership, and commitment. We are proud to celebrate them and look forward to all they will accomplish.
