BANK DAY IS BACK!

Our elementary Pioneers at Eagle Mountain, West, and Sulphur Rock can bank right at school this year!

Through our partnership with First Community Bank, bank employees will visit each campus weekly beginning this week, giving students the opportunity to make deposits and grow their own Squirrel Squad Savings accounts.

We are thankful for First Community Bank and their continued investment in our students and Pioneer Nation!

Batesville School District welcomed a new Pioneer today. Meet Bridger!

Bridger is BHS’s new therapy dog, and he’s ready to get to work supporting his favorite people, Pioneer Nation!

A special thank you to First Community Bank and Paws for Purpose for their partnership in bringing Bridger to Pioneer Nation. We’re proud to be selected as a pilot program for this amazing initiative they’re launching this year!

🌟NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SEMIFINALIST🌟

Congratulations to Batesville High School senior Anderson Fisher, who has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program!

Anderson is among more than 16,000 academically talented high school seniors nationwide selected for this prestigious recognition. Semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships.

We are proud of Anderson and this outstanding academic achievement. Congratulations on representing Batesville High School, Batesville School District, and Pioneer Nation!

MAY WE NEVER FORGET

On September 11, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage shown on a day that changed our nation.

As part of that remembrance, BHS EAST students Chloe Massey and Joe Carmona created this special tribute to Sara Elizabeth Low, a Batesville native who lost her life on September 11, 2001.

We are grateful to Chloe and Joe for helping honor Sara’s memory and ensuring her story continues to be remembered by a new generation of Pioneers.

Congratulations to Hannah Baxter of Sulphur Rock Elementary, who has been selected for the 2026–2027 Arkansas Excellence in Teaching Fellowship!

Hannah is one of 30 high-performing educators from across Arkansas selected for this year’s cohort. Throughout the school year, fellows will participate in professional learning and collaborate with educators from across the state to strengthen classroom practice and help elevate the teaching profession.

We are proud to see Hannah recognized for her commitment to students, excellence in the classroom, and leadership in education.

Before Friday night’s White River Bowl, we had the opportunity to celebrate students who represent the many parts of Friday Night Lights and recognize them with scholarships made possible by generous community partners.
