One Community One Family

One Community One Family Strengthening our Southeastern Indiana System of Care through community collaboration, sharing resources, providing training, and offering support.

One Community One Family is a partnership working to improve the System of Care in Southeastern Indiana, particularly for youth with emotional/behavioral issues and their families. In recent years, OCOF has broadened their scope of work to include supporting and serving individuals of all ages through a variety of initiatives, trainings and support. OCOF has placed an increased focus on substance-

use initiatives, suicide prevention, and mental health training & awareness for the community at large. OCOF supports evidence-based programs, peer-to-peer support, parent empowerment, as well as system-level work with partner agencies by providing trainings. OCOF also serves as a venue for regional/community planning to address the needs of human services organizations and those entities that interact with children and families.

It was an honor to partner with the Batesville Community School Corporation (BCSC) recently for QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) su***de prevention training! 💙

Through a partnership between One Community, One Family (OCOF) and the Coalition for a Drug-Free Batesville (CFDFB), we were awarded an FSSA Project AWARE Mini-Grant dedicated to supporting school and educator mental health and wellness.

Thanks to these funds:

4 BCSC school staff members were trained as certified QPR trainers.

A total of 222 staff members were trained as QPR gatekeepers, with the OCOF team supporting and co-facilitating alongside the new instructors!

We loved spending time in each building and were so inspired by everyone's dedication to supporting student well-being. A special thank you to CFDFB for helping us capture these moments of our staff and trainers in action!

Thank you to the entire BCSC team for welcoming us and for the vital work you do every day.
