In support of the City’s Clean Up Campaign, we want to remind residents that a public dumpster is available on Vance Street behind the Maintenance Shop. Hours of operation are:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Please remember that private business dumpsters are not for public use.
Let’s all do our part to keep Batesville clean and beautiful.

**Junk Vehicles 🚗 **
The citywide cleanup includes all junk vehicles!

If your vehicle does Not run in the condition that it is in right now OR does Not have current registration (tag) then it meets the definition of “junk” in the city ordinance and you are Required to remove it from the city!
**citations will be issued for not removing junk vehicles!!

The citywide cleanup campaign is underway!
The following actions are going to be consistently carried out:
GRASS AND VEGETATION MAINTENANCE- property owners will be notified of overgrown grass and vegetation and require immediate cutting.
REMOVAL OF JUNK AND DEBRIS- properties with junk, discarded materials, or general blight will be notified and require prompt cleaning.
**ENFORCEMENT MEASURES- Citations WILL be issued to owners who fail to comply within the required timeframe!

Storm Debris Collection Update

Any debris generated by the storm within a maintained area is eligible for pickup. While vegetative debris (such as limbs and trees) will be the most common, eligibility is not limited to vegetation alone.

Debris from storm-damaged structures—including sheds, fences, and other outbuildings damaged by ice or falling trees—is also eligible.

For efficient removal, all debris must be separated by type (ex. natural vegetative debris in one pile, damaged structure materials in another) and placed at the curb according to the provided guidelines.
In short: anything created by the storm in a maintained area qualifies, as long as it is properly sorted and placed at the curb
