All students in Lexington County School District Three will be receiving interim reports on Friday, September 17th with the exception of students who attend B-L Primary School.

Because of the ongoing transitions we are currently experiencing due to COVID-19 at BLPS, those students will not receive interim progress reports on September 17th. Instead, student data notebooks will be sent home for review on Thursday, September 30th. Hopefully this will allow each student to continue to work towards the grade level standards for the first quarter and will provide parents/guardians with a more in-depth look at their child’s progress.

If you have specific questions about your child’s progress at this time, however, please don’t hesitate to contact his/her teacher.

It appears that the water supply problems in the Town of B-L are not going to resolve themselves as soon as we had hoped, so we will be dismissing students early today. We will follow our normal car rider and bus rider procedures with students dismissing at the following times:

B-L Primary School students will dismiss at 9:00 am

B-L Elementary School students will dismiss at 9:15 am.

B-L Middle School students will dismiss at 9:30 am.

Please note that the rest of this school day will be an E-Learning Day. Students in K4 will have paper assignment packets sent home with them. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade can access their assignments in Google Classroom via their Chromebook.

At B-L High School, there will not be any live virtual classes today. Instead, students in grades 9th through 12th can find their assignments in Google Classroom as well.

We thank you for working with us today in these unusual circumstances and apologize for the inconvenience.

Lexington County School District Three is aware of major water supply issues affecting the Town of Batesburg-Leesville. Due to the timing of this advisory, Lexington Three is planning to open schools at their regular times today and we will attempt to hold a normal school day as we're told water could be restored soon. However, if water is not able to be restored, we may have to have an early dismissal day.

Parents/Guardians should stay tuned for additional messaging that would be forthcoming should an early dismissal need to occur.

In the meantime, staff and students should plan to report to school and work as usual. We will accommodate later drop-off times for students who have had a disruption in their home water service.

As COVID-19 numbers continue to surge in our community, state, and nation, Lexington Three is strongly encouraging its Panther students and staff to mask up. Doing so protects you, those around you, and our ability as a school district to provide in-person learning five days a week. Let's make this a successful school year!

Please help us spread the word!

Starting today at B-L Primary School, there will be some changes to the way we line up cars in the afternoon for student dismissal.

Please see the graphic for additional details and information.

As an important note, these changes only apply to the AFTERNOON PICK-UP LINE. The morning car drop-off line will continue to use the single far-right lane as normal.

Beginning on Monday, August 30th, all students who ride a school bus in Lexington County School District Three will be required to wear a face covering while on board the bus. The same rule is applicable to staff and school bus drivers as well.

This comes after the SC Department of Education announced on Thursday, August 26th that it would again enforce the CDC's Order that requires the use of face coverings by people on public transportation conveyances and hubs, which includes school buses. In a release from the SCDE, officials stated that "it has become apparent based on COVID-19 data being reported by schools along with increasing levels of the highly transmissible Delta variant in local communities that more protective measures are needed to lower the risk of virus transmission and keep our school open and operating as safely as possible."

To facilitate adherence to the CDC Order, the SCDE is equipping all state-owned school buses with an adequate supply of face coverings that meet CDC Order requirements. If a student boards a bus without a face covering, bus drivers will offer the student a face covering.
