The Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department is seeking volunteers to support our department. We are a small combination department that provides fire, extrication, first responder, and multiple other tasks in support our community. BLFD responded to Oswald Wholesale Lumber on Saturday due to an outside fire spreading into a landfill area of scrap lumber at the business. Engines 251, 261, and Tanker 254 were on the scene along with Brush Truck 302. Fire was contained by personnel.

Moved to the Minute Man hose load for our cross lays on our Sutphen and KME engines. Plenty of time spent pulling and loading to ensure familiarity with personnel during our training meeting.

BLFD responded mutual aid to the MLILY USA plant in Fairfield County today. Rescue 250 with Ventilation 250 deployed to support ventilation of the structure.
