Then come back on Saturday to learn how you can help in butterfly (and other pollinator) habitat on your property!

Join us this Friday, September 11th at 4pm for our annual Watching Monarchs program! Meet at the Interpretive Nature Center.

This program will show how butterflies are tagged and released as part of a nation-wide Monarch Butterfly conservation project. Kids can explore the meadow with nets and bug catchers!

We ❤ Environmental Science Summer Camp!

Yesterday, we were able to celebrate the start of camp with macroinvertebrate sampling in Black Creek! Campers got in the water and used kick nets to sample the stream - then got to work inspecting the samples to find our water quality indicator friends!! Great job everyone!!

Applications are officially open for the Agricultural Resiliency Against Tariffs Program for New York agricultural producers! This $30 million program provides direct payments to eligible producers to help offset rising costs and market loss faced in 2025 due to federal tariff policies. Applications are due August 11th, 2026

It was an amazing day for Kinderfarmin' 2026! This one day event is packed full of educating kindergarten students about agriculture in their community! Genesee County SWCD staff taught of the importance of soil health with a fun demonstration on cover crops and soil loss! Thank you to all who volunteered and Post Dairy Farms for hosting! 🐮🌱
