Congratulations, Tanner Warner!

Please join us in congratulating Tanner Warner on earning his Paramedic certification!

Tanner began his journey with our department as a volunteer in September 2021. Through his dedication to serving others, dependable work ethic, and respectful attitude, he quickly earned a part-time position. As he continued to grow professionally and demonstrate his commitment to our department and community, Tanner was promoted to a full-time position on December 15, 2023.

Throughout his career with our department, Tanner has consistently demonstrated a strong desire to learn, improve, and provide the highest level of care to those we serve. His achievement of becoming a paramedic is a testament to the countless hours of studying, training, and perseverance required to reach this milestone.

We are proud to have Tanner as a member of our team and look forward to watching him continue to grow in his career while making a positive impact on our department and the community.

Congratulations, Tanner, on this outstanding accomplishment! Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we wish you continued success in the years ahead.

Here’s our latest update from Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus on our two engine refurbishment project:

Engine 5: Will be back from the engine shop next week after getting the engine, transmission and radiator replaced. Once it gets back to Brindlee Mountain it’ll be brought back into the shop to get work started on it.

Engine 6: A lot of work has been going on with this truck. Suspension components are 90% complete, all wheel end bearings and brake components are complete. LED brow lights are installed, 90% of the air lines are installed with new lines and compression fittings and 90% of all ABS/ Brake valves are replaced with new and the fuel tank has been reinstalled.

We’re excited to share these updates with everyone and are very happy with the progress. We can’t wait to show off the finished product with everybody later this year, but in the meantime enjoy the progress reports!

Stonelick Township Fire & EMS crews started the morning off at 0215 for a tree down near the covered bridge on Stonelick Williams Corner Road. Two hours later during the torrential rains units were called again to Stonelick Williams Corner Road for a MVA with a person trapped in rising water and on the roof of their car. M-41 and E-41 were hampered by rising waters for the most direct route and had to take an alternate direction. 3 of the routes were inaccessible due to trees across the road, rising water or debris in the roadway. Eventually M-40 was able to reach the occupant, get a safety rope to them and remove them from harm’s way. While on scene, water kept rising stranding M-40s crew until the waters receded.

While clearing that detail, crews were advised of a house that was completely surrounded by rushing water. Boats were requested from Central Joint Fire - EMS District and with the help of Williamsburg Township Emergency Services Chief 73, contact was made with the occupant and no further help was needed.

Crews returned to service around 0800. We want to remind everyone to not drive through high water on roadways, rushing water doesn’t need to be very deep to carry objects downstream.

Belfast Owensville Rd between Toy Fox Ln and Bergen Rd is closed due to a single vehicle commercial truck rollover with no injuries. Avoid the area as the roadway will be closed for quite some time.

The NWS has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Clermont County until 5 AM today.

From the NWS, be weather aware this evening especially after midnight. If you have a smart phone make sure you have notifications on and the volume up on your phone in case warnings are issued late at night. We may see heavy rains and flash flooding, if you live near a waterway pay attention as water levels can rise quickly and with no warning.

Thunderstorms will move into the region this evening and continue overnight. Severe storms are possible. Damaging wind is the main threat, though large hail and a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out. These storms will be capable of producing heavy downpours, resulting in localized flash flooding.
