Good morning, Baskin Residents and Travelers,

This Saturday morning from 8:00 AM until approximately 10:00 AM, the Village of Baskin will be hosting our annual Catfish Classic 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Tracey Ready Memorial Scholarship .

Please be aware that there will be runners and walkers alongside Highway 15 and Highway 857 during the event. We ask everyone traveling through town to use extra caution, slow down, and be mindful of pedestrians.

We will also have a heavy police presence throughout the event to help ensure the safety of all participants and motorists.

This event only takes place once a year and supports a great cause for our community. We appreciate your patience, support, and respect for everyone participating.

The Village of Baskin is hiring for a seasonal, part-time worker.

Mowing season will be upon us before we know it, and we are seeking someone to assist with our beautification efforts.

This job will require physical labor, lifting, mowing, trash removal, cleaning, and weed-eating, etc.

Must be 17 to apply.
Apply in person at our town hall.

⚠️ Sagging Power Lines After an Ice Storm ⚠️

After an ice storm, it’s important to be aware of the dangers posed by sagging power lines. Ice accumulation can place lines under extreme tension, and they may shift or move with changing conditions or wind.

Even if a power line appears intact, it can still be energized and extremely dangerous. Please keep your distance from any sagging or low-hanging lines.
