⚡️NOTICE OF SCHEDULED POWER OUTAGE⚡️

Barton Electric and Orleans Electric Departments will be performing a SYSTEM-WIDE power outage on:

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026, FROM 10:00 PM TO 3:00 AM

This system-wide outage is necessary in order for our crews to efficiently and safely perform essential upgrades.

The Barton Village Office will be closed at 12pm on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, through Friday, September 3rd, 2026, for new floor installation and staff training.

Please utilize the drop box on the Office door.

During the afternoon of 08/28/2026, The official website for Barton Village is going to be transitioned to bartonvillagevt.gov.

Please update your bookmarks and saved links to bartonvillagevt.gov.

Barton Electric customers on Roaring Brook Road and Park Street will be without power for about an hour as our lineman repair a fuse. This should last until approximately 11am today, August 25th.

Information needed regarding the driver or owner of the red four door Ford sedan that barely missed the pole but managed to take out one of our solar speed signs as you drive into the Village by Circle K. The driver decided it was correct to simply drive away and leave the scene. Car is missing the passenger side mirror.
