Yesterday was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people, cultures, and values that make Shelby County such a vibrant community.

I began the day at the BAPS Charities event, where I learned more about an organization whose mission is rooted in service, compassion, health, education, and community improvement. From disaster relief and healthcare initiatives to educational programs and environmental stewardship, BAPS Charities has touched millions of lives around the world. Their commitment to serving others and strengthening communities is truly inspiring.

Later, I traveled to Millington for the Philippine Festival, where I enjoyed experiencing the rich culture, traditions, food, and hospitality of the Filipino community. It was a joy to meet so many families and community leaders who contribute so much to Shelby County.

What I witnessed today is a reminder that our county’s greatest strength is its people. When we come together from different backgrounds with a shared commitment to service, family, faith, and community, there is no challenge we cannot overcome.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed me today. I am grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and celebrate alongside you as we work together to build a stronger Shelby County for all.

Tonight, I was honored to join friends and supporters in East Memphis for a wonderful fundraiser graciously hosted by Barry and Sherri Griffith in their home. I want to sincerely thank them for their hospitality, generosity, and belief in our campaign for a better Shelby County.

We had great conversations about the future of Memphis and Shelby County, and one thing is clear - people are ready for leadership that will face our challenges head on.

From rising crime, to fixing our struggling education system, to restoring trust in local government, we cannot continue with politics as usual. Our community deserves safe neighborhoods, strong schools, economic opportunity, and leadership that is accountable to the people.

I’m running for Shelby County Mayor because I believe Memphis is worth fighting for. We have incredible people, proud neighborhoods, and a strong future ahead if we are willing to do the hard work together.

The other day I had the pleasure of visiting the Memphis Italian Fest, one of the great traditions in our community that brings people together through family, faith, food, and fellowship.

For generations, Memphis Italian Fest has celebrated the rich Italian heritage that has helped shape Memphis and Shelby County into the vibrant community we know today. What started decades ago as a small gathering has grown into a beloved tradition that highlights the importance of culture, community, and giving back.

As I walked through the festival, it reminded me of what makes Shelby County special - people coming together to celebrate our shared values and support one another. Events like this strengthen our neighborhoods and preserve the history that connects us all.

Thank you to everyone who works so hard each year to make Memphis Italian Fest such a success. I’m grateful for the warm welcome and proud to celebrate this incredible tradition with so many friends across our county.

I want to sincerely thank Frank and Grace Uhlhorn for hosting such an incredible fundraiser in support of my campaign for John DeBerry.

I was honored to be surrounded by so many elected officials, community leaders, and supporters from across Shelby County who believe in our vision for safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, and responsible government. Seeing leaders from all parts of our county come together sends a strong message that this campaign is about unity, solutions, and moving Shelby County forward.

The momentum behind this campaign continues to grow because people are ready for experienced leadership that will put public safety first, improve education, and restore trust in local government.

On this Memorial Day, we pause as a nation and as a community here in Shelby County to honor a profound truth: freedom is never free. It was bought and paid for by the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. 🇺🇸

The liberty they defended is the very foundation of the American Dream. Because of their sacrifice, we have the freedom to innovate, to build, and to pursue a life of prosperity. True prosperity can only flourish where freedom is secure and it is our duty to protect that legacy right here at home.

May God bless the memories of our fallen, comfort their families, and continue to bless Shelby County and the United States of America.

Today, I had the opportunity to tour Libertas School of Memphis and see firsthand the incredible work being done to invest in the future of our children and our city.

High-quality education is one of the most important issues facing Memphis and Shelby County. Every child, regardless of their zip code, deserves access to a safe, challenging, and inspiring learning environment that prepares them for success in life.

I was encouraged to see a school focused on rigorous academics, character development, and individualized learning opportunities for students in our community. Libertas has become known for helping students grow academically while also building confidence, discipline, and leadership.

If we want a stronger Memphis, we must continue investing in education that empowers families and gives our children every opportunity to succeed. Better schools mean safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and a brighter future for Shelby County.

As Mayor, I will continue fighting for educational opportunities that put students first and help every child reach their full potential.
