On this day, we honor those who lost their lives and those whose lives were forever changed.

September 11 reminds us of the importance of community, compassion, and showing up for one another, especially in the face of tragedy.

Thank you to Young Professionals of Bartlesville for allowing us to talk at today's coffee connect as the member spotlight at Outpost Coffee.

We love any and every opportunity to be out in the community, sharing the work we do and the way we can partner with our community to make it safer for families and children impacted by abuse.

For a little fun, we did a drawing for two free Hops for Hope - Brew 66 tickets! Congratulations to Daniel Hale.

It was a pleasure to host members of Leadership Bartesville Class 36 today.

We enjoyed giving the group a closer look at Ray of Hope, sharing more about our work, and discussing the needs and resources that support survivors and families in our community.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and learn more about what we do!

Our Executive Director, Rhonda, and Domestic Violence Program Manager, Tracie, have spent the last two days at the Partners for Change Conference hosted by the Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond's office.

"This annual conference brings current and innovative trainings to Oklahoma in support of a coordinated community response comprised of allied professions who are involved in violence against women work... It is an important part of a community continuum to enhance safety for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking (trafficking must involve an element of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking) and end violence against women in our state."

We cannot wait for them to get back and share everything they have learned.

P.S. Yes, they did in fact show up unintentionally twining every day!

September is Su***de Awareness Month. We are joining the National Children's Alliance in encouraging parents to "Be There Now", not just this month, but every month.

Small moments build big trust. Sometimes, being there for a child doesn’t mean having the perfect words or knowing exactly what to do. It can be as simple as:
- Cooking together
- Playing a game
- Taking a walk
- Talking about their day

When children know they have someone who will listen, support them, and take them seriously, they feel more connected and less alone.
