If these old photos could talk, they’d have some pretty wild stories to tell.

The Cow Thieves & Outlaws Reunion dates all the way back to 1927, when Frank Phillips began inviting an unusual mix of cowboys, ranchers, lawmen, businessmen, local Osage people and even real-life outlaws to gather at his Woolaroc Ranch.

And there were rules! Wanted outlaws were given a “day of grace” during the reunion, while everyone was expected to leave their guns—and their grudges—at the gate. The annual gathering became Frank’s unique way of celebrating the colorful characters and stories of the Old West and Oklahoma’s territorial days.

Nearly a century later, the Cow Thieves & Outlaws Reunion continues at Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve, carrying on one of the most colorful traditions in Bartlesville history. Grab your tickets for September 26th and come be part of the tradition!
