This morning at approximately 6:40 a.m., crews responded to reports of a working structure fire in the 1500 block of Oak. Engine 2, Engine 1, Engine 11, and Engine 4 responded to the incident.

The homeowners were able to exit the residence prior to crews arriving. Firefighters worked diligently to bring the fire under control while operating in extremely cold conditions.

The oncoming shift arrived to relieve crews on scene and continued fire operations and overhaul efforts. Strong teamwork between both shifts helped ensure a safe and effective response this morning.

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of all personnel involved.

Prayers are with the family and hope for a speedy recovery to the victim.

Last night, our crews were dispatched to ServePro for reports of smoke coming from the building.

Upon making entry, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and active fire conditions from floor to ceiling with zero visibility.

We ask that you please keep the owners and employees of ServePro in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. As a community, let’s rally around them and offer support as they work toward a quick restoration and return to business.

We are grateful for the quick, coordinated efforts of all responding personnel.

Whether it’s on the court or off the court, we bring the moves and the laughs.

We had a blast hanging out with the awesome kids at the Boys & Girls Club, basketballs were flying, jokes were told, and smiles were everywhere. Thanks for letting us come play, laugh, and spend some time with such an amazing group. We can’t wait to do it again!

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our very own Equipment Operator Stephanie Banks, who was recognized yesterday afternoon at the Oklahoma Fire Chiefs Conference in Stillwater, on achieving the highest officer-level accreditation in the State of Oklahoma by successfully completing the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program through OSU Fire Service Training.

The Executive Fire Officer program is a prestigious, graduate-level public safety leadership program built on the IPSLEI Ethical Leadership curriculum. The program requires years of dedication, advanced coursework, and the completion of a Capstone project similar to a dissertation, focused on leadership, ethics, and organizational change within the fire service.

Stephanie completed the program in its entirety and submitted her Capstone to the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, Leadership Studies Division, for formal grading, an extraordinary academic standard rarely required in fire service education.

She was accepted into the 9th EFO Class and distinguished herself as the first firefighter in the State of Oklahoma to complete the program in full with accreditation.

(Chief Duane Helmberger of Stillwater is the first Fire Chief in Oklahoma to reach this level. Congratulations, Chief Helmberger!)

With a strong academic foundation already in place, Stephanie has continually pursued advanced credentials on her own initiative through OSUFST and the Alabama Fire College, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to professional growth, ethical leadership, and service excellence.

Stephanie’s dedication exemplifies what it means to raise the standard of excellence, not just for herself, but for this department and the community we serve. Her accomplishments raise the bar for the fire service across Oklahoma, and we are honored to serve alongside her.

Well done, Stephanie. We are proud of you!

If you know or see anyone in need, let them know there is a safe and warm place to go.

With a deadly winter storm approaching, we’re opening our doors again Friday at noon.
This is expected to be the coldest storm of the year and could last a week or more.

We need all hands on deck. If you can volunteer in any way, please sign up and help us keep our neighbors safe and warm. ❤️
God Bless!

When you order DoorDash but get Firehouse Express instead.🚒🌮

Engines 1 and 11 responded to a two-vehicle accident involving a Door Dasher. After making sure everyone was checked out and doing well, Engine 11 completed the food delivery.

Talk about hot and fast service! What would you do if a fire truck pulled up with your dinner? Just another day going the extra mile for our community
