The FREE Pop-Up Market WILL be open December 20 and December 27 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am (earlier of food runs out).

Families line up early, so do not wait until the last minute to show up.

We have plenty of fresh produce, bakery, meats, and dairy items available this Saturday.

Please bring your own bags/boxes and help carry items out to your vehicle.

Desert Manna WILL be open this holiday weekend on Saturday November 29, 2025 from 8:30am to 10:00am, while supplies last.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for coming in this weekend to serve you.

FYI—- the past few weeks we were ready and opened before 8:30am. Please come early.

Thank you to the clients who, despite the forecast, came out today for our weekly Pop-Up market distribution. Fortunately, the rain held off, and we were able to start early to get you to taken care of over 80 households in one hour before the food ran out and the rain began.

Also, thank you for your positive vibe on this gloomy weather day!

As things stand now, Desert Manna WILL BE OPEN this Saturday morning.

We hear it may be rainy, so dress appropriately.

So far, in addition to the usual bakery and produce, meats are looking good, and so is eggs and milk.

As usual, first come/first served.

Be courteous to others in line and the volunteers who are giving up their personal time to serve you.

To everyone who came out for today’s food distribution at the Desert Manna Food Bank in the morning, it was a pleasure to help you.

With all of the hype on social media regarding potential chaos due to the SNAP benefits not being available, everyone one of the households (nearly double of the households we normally serve) was polite and courteous.

Thank you for proving how great the residents of Barstow are.

We are expecting a busier-than-normal day for November 1, 2025.t

Please make note of the following:
- Be courteous to everyone, whether it be others in line or the volunteers who are giving up their personal time to serve.
- Follow the directions given to you by the volunteers and staff. Some items available may have quantity limits.
- BRING YOUR OWN BAGS/BOXES
- You can only pick up for your household.
- Please bring some form of ID. This will make checking in (required) easier.
- If anyone becomes disruptive, you may be asked to leave immediately.
- Food is distributed as supplies last. We don't think you should wait until the last minute to arrive.
- Be considerate of others. NO HOARDING, take only what you need.
- Historically, people start lining up by 6:00 am.
- Don't be scared off if there is a long line. When everyone behaves, the line moves relatively quickly.
- If you need assistance, bring someone with you to help (that's what teenagers are for, LOL)
