The Community can sniff out the bad actors here. Say no to Doherty-McGuire-Carney-Haas.
I want to clarify something about my posts over the course of this campaign. When I refer to Councilperson Carney-Haas it is to let the people know that my opponent, Mary Ellen Carney, is the mother of Katlin Carney-Haas and that her daughter’s agenda of hate and revenge and destruction will continue if "Mell" is elected. It is all I have witnessed as both Councilperson Carney-Haas' constituent and her co-worker.
Her tenure on the board from 2018 saw a very negative impact on the leadership under former Supervisor Jeff Haas, someone who I used to collaborate with to support the community and who I voted for. I know many others in the community felt this shift. I look forward to working with Jeff via the Yulan Fire Department where he has shown his bravery and service to the town, time and time again. Nothing will change to unify our community if "Mell" is elected. She has been lying to the public, deliberately providing misinformation via a non-candidate page for Supervisor, and blocking and shaming anyone who disagrees with her. She has no campaign without me as all of her materials talk about her families' accomplishments and entitlement or are criticisms of me proving once again, 'the apple doesn't fall from the tree.' "Mell" has no skills, relationships, or know how to benefit the town.
However, Kaitlin and Mell are not acting alone. They are both puppets for former disgraced Legislator Rob Doherty and his equally as bad hombre, former disgraced Judge and disgraced County Attorney, Mike McGuire-- both of whom the voters have rejected. Taxpayers would be under their chaotic rule if "Mell" is elected. Ask "Mell" whom she would try and appoint in the role of Attorney for the Town--McGuire maybe? We interviewed McGuire at his request in 2024, and he was not selected to represent the town.
Mell and Rob Doherty were at Town Hall today, with Senator Oberacker, not to discuss plans for the future and ways to support the Town Of Highland residents as I did with the Senator when he visited here last month. Instead it was staged photo op with the Sheriff and Rob and Mell to continue the charade of her fixing what's not broken in the first place. We are just starting to heal and get things in order. Please elect the Lifting Neighbors, non-partisan slate of candidates: Chris Dickey and Frank Monteleone for Town Board, Sonia Kidney for Town Clerk, Joe Barnes for Highway Superintendent, and I humbly ask for your vote to be re-elected your Town Of Highland Supervisor.
