HEALTHY MASCULINITY, HEALTHY COMMUNITY
Monday, May 11 at Barrington Public Library
5:50 PM - 7:45 PM

Over the last couple months, Barrington Community Progress Association (BCPA) has worked with a diverse group of teen boys, violence prevention specialists and a range of community members to create a program that will empower teens to prevent intimate partner violence.

HMHC will present topics relating to masculinity, relationships, and the societal expectations that pressure youth and perpetuate a culture that results in domestic and intimate partner violence. The program will include a presentation of ideas, rationale, and definitions; a moderated panel discussion with multiple generations of men/masc folks; and group discussion when youth will have the opportunity to engage with one another in talking through these issues.

*Registration is required*

*Pizza and snacks will be served*

The event is free, designed for teens, and open to people of any gender, age 13+ or older. The small group discussion portion will be limited to the teens in attendance.

This program is made possible by a grant from the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence (RICADV)’s Deborah DeBare Domestic Violence Prevention Fund.
