HOLIDAY SCHEDULE FOR BOURNE OFFICES AND CURBSIDE RUBBISH/RECYCLING COLLECTION

Following the Town’s holiday schedule, Bourne’s non-emergency Town offices and services will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in honor of Labor Day. Regularly scheduled town office hours will resume Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The Bourne Curbside Rubbish/Recycling Collection schedule will be altered for the week of September 7-11, 2026. All scheduled pickups will be shifted ahead by one (1) day.
• Monday 9/7 – No Pickup
• Tuesday 9/8 - Sagamore Beach and South Sagamore
• Wednesday 9/9 - Buzzards Bay
• Thursday 9/10 - Bourne Village and Monument Beach
• Friday 9/11 - Pocasset and Cataumet

The Department of Public Works will have additional crews performing curbside collection these days and may be in some areas earlier than usual. Please make sure to have your barrels out by 7:00 A.M. Regular scheduled pick up for curbside collection will resume the week of September 14, 2026.

Traffic Pattern Change – New All-Way Stop

The Department of Public Works is notifying residents and motorists of an upcoming traffic pattern change.

Effective Monday, June 29, 2026, at or around 7:00AM (Rain Date- Tuesday, June 30, 2026) the intersection of Barlows Landing Road at Shore Road will be converted to an All-Way Stop (4-Way). This change is being implemented to improve pedestrian and driver safety.

New signage and pavement markings will be installed prior to activation. Drivers should approach the intersection with caution, obey all posted signs, and anticipate changes in traffic flow.

We appreciate the public’s cooperation as we work to improve roadway safety.

Good Morning,
The Town of Bourne non-emergency offices and services will be closed on Friday, June 19th in honor of Juneteenth Freedom Day.

All offices will reopen the morning of Monday, June 22nd. There will be no impact to the curbside rubbish/recycling collection.
