Barnstable County has a strong commitment to water quality, and this commitment is expressed through programs such as household hazardous waste collection events and difficult-to-manage waste programs. WET Festival, the Water Fair, Marine & Road Flare collection, Sharps collection, Mercury collection, Unwanted Medication information, Small Business Hazardous Waste Collections are examples of program, project, and operational offerings.

If you've been putting off cleaning out old paint cans, automotive fluids, lawn chemicals, or mystery containers in the garage, now's the time.

🗓 Saturday, June 20
🕘 9 AM to 1 PM
📍 Falmouth High School, 874 Gifford Street

This collection is open to residents of Bourne, Sandwich, Mashpee, and Falmouth.

Bring eligible items such as:
🎨 Oil paints and solvents
🚗 Automotive and marine products
🧴 Household cleaners
🌱 Lawn and garden chemicals
🌡 Mercury-containing items

Proper disposal helps protect Cape Cod's drinking water and keeps hazardous materials out of our environment.

✨ Bonus: Safe disposal also helps protect first responders. During fires, floods, and other emergencies, improperly stored chemicals can become dangerous or even explosive.
