Are you a dependable, hands-on professional looking to serve your local community? The Town of Trenton is seeking a multi-skilled team member to manage our municipal water operations and help maintain town facilities!

What You’ll Do:
• Water Operations: Oversee day-to-day facilities, maintain system pressure, and conduct routine water quality testing & sampling.
• Facility & Grounds Care: Handle seasonal groundskeeping, winter snow plowing, minor building repairs, and event setups.
• Field Support: Respond to main leaks, complete routine hydrant flushing, and conduct quarterly meter readings.

Qualifications:
• Valid NYS Driver’s License (Required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude & general maintenance skills
• NYSDOH Water Operator Certification (Preferred, or willingness to obtain)

Trenton Falls Open Weekend Needs Your Help to Happen!

Mark your calendars! We are preparing to welcome the community to the Trenton Falls Scenic Trails on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th.

This twice-a-year event is made possible through a special agreement with Brookfield Renewable. However, we cannot open the trails to the public without enough volunteers on hand.

Our volunteer numbers have dwindled in recent years, and we need at least 5 volunteers per shift to safely host the weekend. If we can't fill these spots, this rare community opportunity is at real risk.

Shift Options: Morning: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Get:

Notice to Park Visitors: Public Safety, Park & Staff Respect

We love seeing youth and families enjoy Trenton Town Park, but we must address a dangerous and unacceptable incident that occurred this afternoon around 3:00 PM.

Three middle-school-aged youth on e-bikes showed blatant disrespect for the park and our staff through intentionally poor behavior. They were riding recklessly across the property—popping wheelies in the parking lot during camp pickup time, tearing through open fields, and tearing up the park trails along the creek.

When our Aquatics Director asked them to stop for everyone’s safety, they briefly complied. They later returned to these activities directing explicit language and gestures at the Aquatics Director when addressed a second time.

Performing bike stunts and weaving at high speeds through parking lots and fields during afternoon park pickup puts young children and families at serious risk.

Operating motorized e-bikes on foot trails and fields is not only disrespectful but damages sensitive public grounds.

Blatant disregard for park grounds and verbal harassment toward town employees who are working to keep our facility safe will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Let's work together to keep our park safe, respectful, and well-maintained for all residents.

Happy National Lifeguard Day!

Today, we want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible lifeguard crew at the Trenton Town Park Swim Beach! Made up of dedicated high school and college students, this hardworking team keeps our beach safe and running smoothly during our short but busy season from July through mid-August.

From overseeing daily public visits and swim lessons to keeping our summer park program campers safe during their beach time, these guards handle a lot with professionalism and skill!

While we always want to let them keep their full focus while on the stand, please take a moment when they're off duty to give them a warm "thank you" for their hard work and dedication this summer!

What a wonderful evening celebrating the official Ribbon Cutting and ice cream social for the new Playground at Union Park in Prospect!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and show your support for this special project. Seeing so many families, neighbors, and friends together enjoying the new playground made the evening truly memorable.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this vision to life:
• Rich Latus, Leo Boulerice, and Terry Hart were instrumental in securing the grant and guiding the planning phase.
• The Wadas Foundation, for the grant funding that helped make this playground a reality.

• Jason Stiehl & the Highway Crew, and Keith Lighthall & the Buildings and Grounds Crew, for their hard work installing and finalizing the playground.
