Next week, it's Spring Break for Lamar County Schools and you may be wondering how to entertain the kids. This FREE "Spring Break in the Park" event, taking place on Thursday, April 9, from 1:00 - 6:00 pm, at Myles-Wimberly Park, 106 Richardson Street, Barnesville, will feature games like basketball, corn hole, ring toss, and an inflatable. There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and snacks. Y'all come! It's be great fun.

Tickets are now on sale for the 20th Annual Father-Daughter Dance, sponsored by the Barnesville First United Methodist Church. Enjoy a fun evening of food, music, and dancing on Saturday, February 7, 2026, 6:00 - 9:00 pm, at the Women's Clubhouse, 105 Stafford Avenue.

Tickets are $5 per person and available at Goggans Florist, Ace Hardware, and the Barnesville First UMC Church Office (please note that the church office is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm only).
