The Barnegat Farmers Market is officially extended through October 1!

Join us Thursdays from 9 AM–1 PM at 900 West Bay Ave for a few more weeks of farmers, local makers, food trucks and all the good fall market vibes.

Thursday mornings just got a little more time. Drop the kids off at school and enjoy the market!

That’s a wrap on our summer concert season!

What a way to end it — dancing on the dock, a beautiful sunset, and a crowd that showed up ready to have a good time.

Thank you to everyone who joined us all summer long, and to all of the bands who kept Barnegat dancing week after week.

We’ll miss these summer nights. See you next year at the dock!

Barnegat will never forget.

Please join us on Friday, September 11 at 8:00 AM at the Barnegat Municipal Complex as we gather for our 25th Anniversary 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony.

We will come together to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognize the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who answered the call.

Even though school is back in session, the Barnegat Farmers Market is still going strong with new vendors joining us each week!

Drop the kids off at school, grab a coffee from Salty Sailor, some scones from Butter Me Up, take a walk through the market, explore some new vendors and support all our local favorites. Stock up for your Labor Day weekend!

And for our homeschoolers and preschoolers, Kids Club is back by popular demand tomorrow from 11 AM–12 PM with FREE Self Portrait Magnets to make and take home.

Barnegat Girls Recreation Basketball registration is coming up!

Open to girls in Grades 2–8 for the 2026–2027 season.

Registration will be held at the Barnegat Recreation Center on:
Tuesday, September 15 from 5–6 PM
Wednesday, September 16 from 6–7 PM

Registration fee is $140. Practices are one night a week with games on Friday nights.

Barnegat kids have been busy this summer at Recreation!

From weekly Kids Club activities and Communities That Care programs to special events and our very first Kids Mart, there was always something happening for our younger residents.

We spent the summer creating, crafting, playing, learning, making new friends and trying new things. We wrapped things up with Kids Mart, where nearly 30 local kids became young entrepreneurs for the day — creating their own businesses, setting up displays, pricing their products and selling their creations to the community.

Thank you to all of the families who joined us this summer and to everyone who came out to support our young entrepreneurs.

With school starting tomorrow, we want to wish all of our Barnegat students a great first day and an amazing school year. We loved spending the summer with you!

Summer might be slipping away but the good times on the Dock are not! We just moved the times to keep everyone safe. Tonight 8/29 starts at 6pm. Joey d will rock It! And new this year they will play for our first ever fundraiser for the Barnegat Food Pantry! Look for fliers tonight.
