The meeting was a success! Officers have been elected and the wheels are in motion to get the little library up and going again! We will keep y'all updated on the progress!!!

A few years ago, Nueces Canyon Public Library began gathering the history of Nueces Canyon so it can be shared with everyone. The library has the History of NC schools through 1982, notes and letters by Byrde Hamilton of Montell, Reavis Family History, Welch Family History, History of Hackberry Cemetery, Barksdale, Camp Wood, Montell, Rock Springs, and Vance Cemetery books. Also, the library has the Mission San Lorenzo de la Santa Cruz 1762-1771 book, as well as Barksdale Wildcat Yearbooks from 1949 and 1951-54, from a time before the local schools consolidated. 🔎There are many more local history books available to satisfy your search for answers about the past of Nueces Canyon. 🔍
