🚨BOIL WATER ADVISORY – MILBURN WATER DISTRICT🚨

A Boil Water Advisory is currently in effect for residents within the Milburn Water District after a water main break was found and fixed.

📍 Affected Area:
Residents from County Road 1138 to the Hopewell Church area along KY-80 E.

Approximately 25 customers are affected by this advisory.

💧 Water samples are expected to be collected Monday (8/31/2026). The advisory will remain in effect until sample results are received and it is determined that the water is safe for consumption.

Residents in the affected area should boil water before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or other consumption purposes until further notice.

Please share this information with anyone who may be affected.

US 62 at the 3mm-4mm “West Fork Creek” is now open.

The US National Weather Service Paducah Kentucky has been in contact with Director Glover and has confirmed a EF1 tornado touched down near the intersection of County Road 1011 and CR 1012 traveling southeast into Graves County. Winds reached 100mph in the storm. This is the only confirmed tornado location.

Other locations in the county experienced a macroburst with winds reaching 105mph.

2:50pm Update:

Converstations with JPEC and WKRECC have indicated that power could be out 2-4 days in locations.

Road crews have been working since midnight and have attempted to give access down roads in most locations. We are encouraging people who travel after dark to use extreme caution!!!

1pm Update

Road crews are still actively working on clearing roads. Some trees are not able to be removed yet due to being wrapped in power lines.

West KY Rural Electric has stated it could take another 24hrs or more to fully restore all services.

If you have damage to your residence please let us know that way we can collect damage assessments.

If you are detouring around US 62 at West Fort Creek bottom coming from Bardwell you will need to take 1935 turn on state Route 1371 then turn right on State Route 408 and detour to County Road 1015. You will either have to turn right or left on SR 121 due to the other end of CR 1015 being closed. The normal detour is blocked on 408 coming back to 62.

If you are returned from the Cunningham area, you will need to take 121 to County Road 1015 and then turn right on State Route 408 and left on State Route 1371

You can not turn down CR 1015 from US 62 due to trees and power lines.
