What does a CASA volunteer actually do? 🤔

A CASA volunteer is a trained community member appointed by a judge to advocate for a child in foster care.

CASA volunteers:
✔️ Get to know the child
✔️ Speak with teachers, caregivers, and caseworkers
✔️ Advocate for the child’s best interests in court
✔️ Help ensure the child’s needs are not overlooked
✔️ Stay a consistent support throughout the case

For many children, their CASA volunteer is the one constant person who stays by their side.

Today was a wonderful day for CASA- we had our ribbon cutting in Campbellsville! We are so appreciative of the support and warm welcome in Taylor County! Community support makes such a difference in our ability to serve more children who need advocates!
