What does a CASA volunteer actually do? 🤔

A CASA volunteer is a trained community member appointed by a judge to advocate for a child in foster care.

CASA volunteers:
✔️ Get to know the child
✔️ Speak with teachers, caregivers, and caseworkers
✔️ Advocate for the child’s best interests in court
✔️ Help ensure the child’s needs are not overlooked
✔️ Stay a consistent support throughout the case

For many children, their CASA volunteer is the one constant person who stays by their side.

Have a group that cares about kids and community? Let’s talk CASA.

We’re filling our summer calendar with presentations and would love to visit your church, club, or organization. These sessions are relaxed, informative, and a great way to learn how everyday people can make a difference.

You can also schedule a personal CASA 101 whenever it’s convenient: www.casalincolntrail.org/volunteer
