Have you ever wondered how to recognize the signs of child abuse or how you can help prevent it in your community?

Join us at Taylor County Public Library this coming Thursday, September 10 at 10 AM for a practical training focused on how everyday community members can help create safer environments for children.

Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky (PCAK) Upstream Academy member Marley Allender of Taylor County will lead the training. You’ll learn simple, practical ways to recognize concerns, support children and families, and become a stronger advocate in your community.

Bring your willingness to learn and help and leave with knowledge and skills you can put into practice right away. Plus, there will be door prizes!

CASA of South Central Kentucky will have an information table available for attendees.

Nine new CASA volunteers took their first case in August, marking an incredible month of growth and advocacy across the Lincoln Trail region. Each new advocate brings hope, stability, and a voice for children who need one most.

And the momentum continues, our next volunteer training class begins September 7, and we’re ready to welcome even more community members who want to make a difference. If you’ve been considering becoming a CASA volunteer, this is the perfect time to get involved and join the next group preparing to take their first cases.
