It's hard to believe it's been a year (yesterday) since we lost you. You are missed dearly and remembered every day by those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside you.

Your professionalism, expertise, and unwavering dedication to others made you someone everyone looked up to. More importantly, your kindness, friendship, and ability to make those around you better will never be forgotten. The impact you had on your coworkers, patients, friends, and family continues to be felt long after your passing.

Thank you for the example you set and the lives you touched. Rest easy, brother. We got it from here. 🚑❤️

This shutdown begins tonight at midnight. Please plan ahead and use caution when commuting to Louisville, as travel delays are expected.

For EMS, please keep in mind that this closure will likely impact transport times to Louisville-area hospitals, both from emergency scenes and during interfacility transfers.

As always, never hesitate to call 911 for medical or trauma emergencies. Our crews will continue to respond promptly, provide high-quality care, and transport patients to the closest appropriate facility.

Stay safe, Nelson County!

I-65 Central Corridor Project is a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet project to rehabilitate I-65 in Louisville.

We are still needing 2 more days covered for EMS week. If you are a business that would be willing to sponsor food for one of these days, reach out to us at EMS. We are needing the 18th and the 23rd covered still. Even if you would like to sponsor snacks (to keep our crews running at top shape, or enough caffeine to jump start a car) we would be beyond grateful for anything.

Nelson County EMS was honored to stand in service for the homecoming and remembrance of Tech Sgt. Ashley Pruitt. It was a privilege to participate in the procession as she was brought home to Bardstown, and to be available in support of her family, friends, and community throughout the memorial proceedings.

Tech Sgt. Pruitt served her country with dedication, professionalism, and selfless commitment—values that reflect the very best of those who wear the uniform. Her service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.

We are grateful to our crew members who captured these moments of honor and remembrance. Today and always, we remember Tech Sgt. Ashley Pruitt and keep all who loved her in our thoughts.
